Too Many Pregnant Teens Are Smoking Weed

(CBS News, April 18) About 14 percent of pregnant teens smoke marijuana, according to new findings from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.

Even more shocking – their rate of use is twice that of non-pregnant (six percent) teens and more than pregnant women in their 20s.

Doctors say that in addition to risking brain damage to the unborn child, smoking marijuana while pregnant can also increase the likelihood of the baby developing an addiction problem down the road. Read more.
