How is it used?

- Liquid drops, gels, creams
- Transdermal patches, subdermal implant pellets, and water-based and oil-based injectable solutions
How does it affect the body?
- Many effects depending on age, sex, the type and amount used, length of time used
- In adolescent males: can cause early sexual development, acne, and stunted growth
- In women, deepens voice, increases facial and body hair, acne, menstrual irregularities, male pattern baldness, and lengthening of the clitoris
- Dramatic mood swings, impaired judgment, increased levels of hostility
- Increase cholesterol levels, which may increase the risk of coronary artery disease, strokes, and heart attacks
